Macy Miller, a young architect in the United States has seen his dream come true makeing she's house out of a budget of just 8,000 euros, money which would not have allowed ever for buying an apartment or a house already built .
The construction lasted almost 10 months, contrary to its proprietary young estimates, but the awful wait was worth, finally, check all requirements of comfortable living.
At age 27, newly divorced architect Macy Miller also received a shot, became unemployed. At that point, forced by circumstances and not wanting to spend she's money with hoarfrost lagging share, the young woman decided it was time to build a house, how small, but entirely her's.
In a short time the advantage of the knowledge in architecture, he sketched her's future home project, from a caravan idea, and in 2011 started the construction itself.
So she looked for an old car platform that became the basis of the house. She found a little one over 350 euros, podit it with timber, has isolated properly, mounted radiant electric heating; in other words, has prepared her to begin raising the wooden house structure with an area of only 18 square meters.
To save more money, Macy stubborned to handle itself of most of the construction, but gladly accepted help from family and friends, every time was offered.
Young architect was responsible for drawings and also for electrical equipment and installation of the house, even if it had not done before such things. In this regard, she bought a guide-wire which learned what to do and, with enough emotion, managed to carry out the task.
After 10 months from the start of construction, young architect became the proud owner of a beautiful green wooden houses, equipped with a kitchen set, a bathroom with a Turkish shower, a mini living room, bedroom and plenty of space storage integrated cleverly discreet in the limited space of the house.
In addition, the house is equipped with a mini terrace, where owners can relax in pleasant summer evenings.
Curiosity about the construction of the micro houses only for 8000 euros:
– The most expensive item from the house, worth 1450 euros, and was the compost toilet;
– During construction, Macy has suffered a series of accidents, the most serious of which is a fracture of the spine and of the heel, caused by falling off the roof;
– Many of the appliances and furniture present in the house are antiques, recycled;
– Siding or wood paneling that was used for outside of the house was obtained from the dismantling of 40 old wooden pallets;
– From the point of view of the owners, most unpleasant and difficult operation of the entire construction process was dismantling wooden pallets;
– Free windows of the house were obtained, based on a sponsorship;
– In the kitchen sink mask was arranged a mini technical room, where there is an electric instant hot water;
– Monthly maintenance costs of this houses do not exceed 93 USD, which is included in the mobile phone bill. Well below the maintenance costs of a medium-sized apartment in the US.
