The total value of the program amounts is over 9.41 million euros and was launched few days ago in a specialized conference.
The project is funded through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area ( EAA) and is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, as operator of the program, in particular to reduce CO2 emissions through energy savings in the industry.
According to the authors, " Industrial Energy Efficiency Program for SMEs " prioritize initiatives that result in the greatest reductions in CO2 emissions, based on financial allocations for program grants ( tons of CO2/1000 euro).
The minimum grant is € 200,000 per project, and the maximum is 700,000 euros. Estimated implementation period is between January and April 2014, and the program will take place between 2013 and 2016.
States who launched the initiative ( Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein ) have signed a memorandum of agreement with Romania, which designates the Ministry of Economy as the operator of the program for the " efficiency", financed by the Financial Mechanism of CEA and approved October 1, 2013.
Conference to launch the new funding program held Monday in Bucharest, the first of four similar events in February, the following will take place in Cluj- Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.
