Projects producing renewable energy reached a total capacity of 4,711 MW at the end of April, according to Transelectrica.
Thus, in the system, there were wind projects with a capacity of 2,879 MW, solar parks with a total capacity of 1,174 MW, 559 MW small hydro and biomass projects with a cumulative capacity of 99 MW.
At the end of February, in the system was installed renewable energy generation capacity of 4,582 MW.
Renewable energy producers receive subsidies in the form of green certificates, which are levied on all consumers, including the household, and are highlighted separately in monthly electricity bill.
Consumers of electricity in Romania last year subsidies paid 375 million euros in the account they receive green certificates for renewable energy producers, said Calotă, above all during the event.
'Green certificates scheme budget last year was 375 million euros from 300 million euros in 2012 and 100 million in 2011, " said the ANRE official.
He also said that biomass and biogas are the most important resources that we can exploit in Romania.
