\n\tIn fact<\/span>, 13 of<\/span> the world's<\/span> most polluted<\/span> cities<\/span> are in<\/span> India<\/span>, and<\/span> extremely high<\/span> levels<\/span> of pollution<\/span> are<\/span> in<\/span> China.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAlarming<\/span> pollution<\/span> killed<\/span> 7 million people<\/span> in a  year<\/span>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tHere are<\/span> the conclusions<\/span> WHO<\/span>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\t–<\/span> Pollution<\/span> causes cancer<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\t–<\/span> 200,000<\/span> Americans died<\/span> prematurely from<\/span> air pollution<\/span>, of which<\/span> 53,000<\/span> deaths<\/span> were related to<\/span> pollution<\/span> caused by<\/span> urban transport;<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\t–<\/span> Overall population<\/span> loss<\/span> of<\/span>  79.6 million<\/span> years<\/span> of life due to<\/span> pollution from<\/span> the transportation system<\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\t–<\/span> A recent report<\/span> showed that<\/span> pollution<\/span> kills<\/span> 3.5 million people<\/span> annually<\/span> worldwide.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2012<\/span>,<\/span> Romania<\/span> registered<\/span> a level of<\/span> fine particles<\/span> (<\/span>PM<\/span> 2.5<\/span>) from<\/span> 14.85<\/span> micrograms<\/span> per cubic meter.<\/span> This value<\/span> is similar<\/span> to those<\/span> found in<\/span> the region.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, there are<\/span> European countries that<\/span> are much better<\/span> in this respect<\/span> that we,<\/span> like Spain<\/span> (<\/span>7.86<\/span> micrograms<\/span> per cubic meter<\/span>), Norway<\/span> (4.51<\/span> micrograms<\/span> per cubic meter<\/span>)<\/span> and Ireland<\/span> (4.99<\/span> micrograms<\/span> per cubic meter<\/span> )<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tPollution<\/span> map<\/span> romania<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWHO<\/span> show that<\/span> long-term exposure<\/span> to fine particles<\/span> can trigger<\/span> atherosclerosis,<\/span> problems<\/span> for pregnant women<\/span> and<\/span> respiratory diseases<\/span> in childhood<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\tThere is also<\/span> a possible link<\/span> with<\/span> impaired<\/span> neurological development<\/span> and<\/span> cognitive function<\/span>,<\/span> and<\/span> the<\/span> development of diabetes<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
