The solar power plant (aka solar farm) is expected to be the largest in the world when completed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Extra Notes:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThe almost as humungous<a href=\"http:\/\/cleantechnica.com\/2013\/01\/30\/400mw-solar-project-in-san-antonio-has-begun-construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">400 megawatt San Antonia solar power plant Alamo 1<\/a> is also now under construction.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\n\t\t\tThe whoppingly large <a href=\"http:\/\/cleantechnica.com\/2013\/03\/01\/750-mw-mccoy-solar-project-put-on-the-fast-track-to-development\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">750 megawatt McCoy Solar Project<\/a> has received expedited review approval from California Governor Jerry Brown. Hopefully construction will begin soon.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\n\t\t\tSempra this year <a href=\"http:\/\/cleantechnica.com\/2013\/01\/11\/sempra-completes-first-phase-of-arizona-solar-farm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">completed the first 150 megawatt phase of the 700 megawatt Mesquite Solar farm<\/a>.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\n\t\t\tAlso in Arizona, the <a href=\"http:\/\/solarlove.org\/127-megawatt-utility-scale-solar-installation-opens-in-arizona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first 127 megawatt \u201cblock\u201d of the 5-block Arlington Valley Solar Energy II (AV Solar II)\u00a0solar farm<\/a> was completed.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\n\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2. <a href=\"http:\/\/solarlove.org\/california-grid-to-add-almost-100-solar-power-in-2h-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Electricity Capacity On The California Grid Is Set To Be Almost 100% Solar In The 2nd Half Of 2013<\/a><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px;\">\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/add-energy.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/New-Electricity-Capacity-On-The-California-Grid.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"New Electricity Capacity On The California Grid\" src=\"http:\/\/add-energy.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/New-Electricity-Capacity-On-The-California-Grid.png\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Solar is growing fast, especially in California, where sunshine and healthy incentives make it competitive. The stars have lined up for a fun second half of 2013, with nearly all new electricity capacity in the state scheduled to be from solar power systems.\n<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3. source other than natural gas.
