At the end of each year, we do a retrospective of the accomplishments of the year just passed and we orient new and bold plans for the future 12 months in which we intend to be healthier, do more sport and let us smoking. These are the most common desires that people have for the new year.
However, no further to February most of the list of goals and look back to old habits. Every time you start a new year you are motivated to make some changes and many are tempted to make a huge list of resolutions:
- I want to lose weight
- To do more exercise
- To quit smoking
- To make savings
- To have harmonious relationships with others
- To change my job, to have a high salary
- To learn a foreign language
- Read more
- Etc, etc, etc.
What happens ? What very few manage to keep the plan and successfully meet its goals each year?

Do not fall into the temptation to make an endless list. Choose the most important objectives. A list of 3-5 goals is a good start.
The targets set are realistic. For example if you want to change your job and have a better salary must be aware of the potential market and especially your professional preparation. If you are an insurance agent now, this year is unlikely to become a bank manager.
Choose specific goals that can be measured. If you want to lose weight, sets and how much you want to lose weight. If you want to have a good couple relationship, what does it mean? To spend more time together ? Let's go on vacation together ?

Start with small steps, take your time to get results. Do not set goals too high because it can interfere with the stress and the only thing you get is abandonment. How many small step each day will lead you to exceptional results within 12 months.
Check monthly list of objectives. At the end of each month review the plan and see how you evolved. What have you accomplished and how you have worked. Of course you can add new goals if necessary. Once you reach a goal, cut it from the list one line. You'll feel great and motivated to continue.
