With eTree solar panels “grow” in trees
An Israeli company has developed a renewable energy "tree" adorned with solar panels, designed specifically to integrate into parks and other public spaces.
Besides the fact that provide shade, eTree from Sologic has a water fountain, a WiFi hotspot, a docking station to charge devices, and LED lights during the night.
"We wanted to integrate the idea of solar energy in the community by creating eTree" said Michael Lasry, president of Sologic quoted by NBC News.
"The tree is made up of metal pipes and leaves are solar panels." Founded six years ago, the Israeli company has started with solar energy systems for homes and businesses.
The metalic Tree with forged leaves was designed by artist Yoav Ben-Dov.
First eTree will be presented these days in a park - Zichron Ya'akov near in northern Israel.
